"After just one visit, the Winds climbed to the top of my don’t-miss list. The decor manages a modern, artsy feel without the usual accompanying coolness. Glowing wood floors are topped by mismatched wood tables and chairs, separated by free-standing, brightly painted walls that don’t reach the high ceiling. Small vases on each table hold a posy of fresh flowers. Paintings by local artists grace the walls. Large windows afford natural light and a view of passersby. The menu is inventive, even daring, with combinations that might give you pause. For instance, the Sicilian salad (”Caesar has left the building”) is romaine hearts with olives, mint leaves and cherry tomatoes, drizzled with lemon gorgonzola dressing and piled with fried onion strands. Trust them. This Sicilian has become their most-requested salad."
